The players have all seen the movies but were distracted from giving their characters their future insight when they were attacked by the giant fish.
The title of this comic is a reference to a Warren Ellis script that had as a description for pages 17-20 "the fleet engages" no dialog or anything just three pages of fleet being engaged. Bryan Hitch drew it so it was awesome.
